While my life is exactly like a roller coaster, going up and down and then up again and then down again and yes I am actually trying to fill this text with words so up and down again, here I am remembering that I actually own a blog. I just came back to my uni town to get back to reality. Well NO. I decided to start designing my space all over again so this post is serving pretty much this purpose and this purpose only: to get me inspired and give me the motivation to stop watching New Girl, one episode after the other, and focus on actually doing something. However, I'll give you a tiny but major inside scoop of my life, mainly in bullets because if I start analyzing and describing, this post will turn out to be words with a few pictures in the beginning. And I will never get up from my desk.

.Breakfast for two
.Handmade mixed cd
.Loving Cotillard, I sincerely believe I will never get bored of drawing her face
.Getting lost in pages of Architecture Magazines
.Missing the friends I left back home, excited to see the ones in Volos
.Enjoying good music, good wine and candles
.Writing my usual articles, if you know how to read in greek and want some of that, check this out: http://www.lifo.gr/guests/vertigo/30164 .My latest article.

VERTIGO

vertigoetmoi

The story of this blog is short and nothing but unique: going through some really bad times, I decided to start doing something that could keep my mind off during my free time and that would have nothing to do with sports (because I suck at them big time).
At first, it was something like a photo diary. However, I have never kept a diary in my whole life so I got bored of it. At that point, I discovered that I really enjoyed writing about stuff I was thinking about during the day like romance movies in So Much Love So Little Time or The Dunkin Donuts Question.
But then, one day, I discovered fashion. Not the catwalk kind of fashion but the everyday outfits of girls around the world. And I got hooked. So initially I started posting pictures I found on weheartit or tumblr but then I got more courageous and started posting my own face, felt kinda weird in the beginning. However, there were times when I wanted to go back to the era when I was writing, you know, proper articles, about stuff that confused me or intrigued my mind.
Long story short: I got offered my own column in the biggest free press magazine in Greece, in the online edition. LIFO gave me the chance to do the one thing I always loved (or discovered I really really like through the years): write. So yesterday, I launched my new LIFO blog slash column, and the name is "VERTIGO". I was extremely excited when I saw that only 3 hours after I posted my first article, it become the top story of the whole site and stayed there for almost 8 hours. What an amazing start, go VERTIGO.

*unfortunately, the articles are all written in greek but I am working on it.

I know I haven't been the best of the bloggers lately but for good reason: I got an offer for my own column on the online edition of the biggest greek free press, LiFO . However, it will be visible after I have posted a new article so keep up with the news via Twitter (follow me here). I got this whole article thing going nowadays and I got to tell you, I am so excited I could not even find time for shopping. Finally, I went out for a mini shopping spree yesterday and got my hands on two wonderful coats in which I will be shooting during the next weeks. It seems like I can't find time for everything that's going on in my life: exams period, articles, photoshoots, events etc etc. It's so weird when your life becomes interesting (at last) and you can't make enough time to enjoy it. Blah blah blah random things about me blah blah blah. Bad news: stolen iPhone which means I have to start collecting all my contacts again and that's a pain in the ass. Final but not minor thing to mention, I have to start keeping up with all of your lovely blogs so this week I will be 100% devoted to you. And that's a promise! :)

Obsession in Vogue Magazine: #1 issue cover release

Obsession in Vogue Mag Fertility Issue

It's new, it's fresh and it's the next Dazed and Digital thing in the press world. Yes, I am talking about Obsession in Vogue Magazine, a 2012 project by Alexander Voulgaris, a talented 17 year old boy with big ambitions and huge talent. If you are a greek fashion blogger -or a well informed fashion blogger in general- you must have visited his blog, Obsession in Vogue at some point in your life. Full of interesting interviews with some of the brightest people and the most fresh talents in the fashion world, this blog had to become a magazine at some point. Well, the time has come and the first issue, "Fertility", is here to make a statement. It will be online so you can all have access. Here is what he stated in the press release:

"The first issue of Obsession in Vogue Magazine is clearly inspired by adolescence (a specific and mostly loved time of life), flowers and, well, fertility itself. Through the cover of the issue, I wanted to express not only the birth of the magazine but also the birth of all the new talents who will be included in the issue and who will express the deepest meaning of the main theme of this issue through their work. That is mainly the reason why I chose a naked woman as a symbol of fertility and the letter of the latin alphabet “V”, for the specific photoshoot. Why the flowers? Because, personally, I see the innocence and the fresh vibes that perfectly describe a human being during his teenage years and because, as you will be able to see for yourselves, it will be a great contrast to the darkest side of adolescence that is presented through the pages of this issue."

so stay tuned for more, kudos alex!

Instead of new year resolutions and new self decisions, little Joanna embraces her New Year gifts. I was never really into skulls (they creep me out a bit) but one does not simply not fall in love with these cute bracelets. It was a lovely gift from my dear friend Patricia who is into jewelry making and we totally support her (because she is great at it and we get awesome presents). Next, Yves Saint Laurent lipstick which I only got for a Black and Red party I attended two weeks ago but haven't stopped wearing it since. At first I thought it was a waste of money because I do not wear lipstick that often but things change and 2012 surely did change that one for me. Last but not least, my New York Coaster which obviously is not a purchase (you can probably tell) since I personally made it using a NYLONmag page. However, I received a hilarious New Year card from my aunt who lives in New York and it was by far the best thing I saw the first day of 2012. Coco, I love you.

You all have to thank Ilenia for reminding me that I have a blog. Seriously, it has been a month since my last post and my life has changed dramatically. I couldn't possibly update you in one post -and if I gave it a shot, it would come out as a megaboringimgonnakillmyselfiftheresanotherline post. Only the important stuff:
-I am super pleased with my life as it is right now because I have met so many wonderful people that I consider myself one of the luckiest students EVER.
-Istanbul was nice. Not amazing, not something extraordinary. Just nice (photopost coming soon)
-Luck of inspiration? Nah just luck of time, got to catch up with everyone till I leave my hometown.
-I write articles for a well known greek free press, LIFO. Unfortunately everything I write is in greek so all of you who won't get a thing, I hope that one day I'll find the time to translate everything for you. For the rest, you can check out my articles here:

I know I have been a really, really, REALLY bad blogger lately but I have to admit it, it is so cool to have a life! Just kiddin, missed this baby so much, I wish I had time for more blogging (hoping for the best in the future). In order to update you, here are three things you have to know:
1. Living on your own has its ups and downs. One of its downs is that, believe it or not, during the first time, you unavoidably gain some weight. And you don't have the time to hit the gym for that Pilates class. BUT I HAVE THE WILL and this is the first step, right?
2. One of my dearest friends, Apostolos Papadopoulos, is officially a genius. He is the creator of this babe and long story short, I am so proud to even know this guy. THUMBS UP FOR HIM THEN!
3. In no longer than 3 hours I will be on my way to Istanbul. I've heard that it's one of the most magical capitals, colorful and lively! Can't wait to take a bunch of pictures and taste numerous different plates. Aaaaaah, Pilates Class will never, EVER leave my conscience alone.
4. Finally, have to acknowledge Ilenia's contribution to this photoshoot, for taking such an awesome series of pictures and for the bag, which is simply amazing. Love you Carnation girl!
